Substitute Pre-School Teacher (State-Mandated Pre-School)

10 month position (School Hours 8:00am - 3:00pm)

General Summary:

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times; be alert to the needs and concerns of the children as individuals and as a part of the larger whole. Work co-operatively with the classroom teacher or assistant teacher to engage and instruct children during the school day.

Skill and Requirements:

• 1. Must have a minimum of 60 college credits or County Substitute License; Certificate of Eligibility PreK-Grade 3 preferred.
  2. Knowledge of child development.
  3. Must be 18 years of age, or older.
  4. Effective English oral and written skills.
  5. Second Language oral and written skills a plus.
  6. Effective comprehension and reasoning skills.
  7. Ability to accurately fill out necessary documentation and form.
  8. Basic computer skills a plus.
