Registered Nurse (RN) (Per Diem)

HOURS: This is a per diem position. Weekdays 8:30am-4:30pm, however, flexibility is required in order to meet the needs of the programs and of the agency. This position requires travel between the agency’s main office, group homes, day program center and within the community.

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the registered nurse is to oversee the provision of medical care to the clients of DPD to ensure that they receive the highest quality of care and to educate staff to understand individual medical needs to work effectively with each resident. The nurse will insure effective implementation of health promotion and prevention practices, management of acute and chronic illnesses, and attainment of optimal levels of functioning and/or support of the client and significant others. The nurse will cooperate with agency's administration and/or Division and DHS staff in any inspection or investigation.
