School CACFP Clerical Assistant

Clerical Assistant - El Mundo de Nino

Hours: As Assigned.

Location: Paterson, NJ

JOB SUMMARY:

Works with the program director to plan, develop, organize, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the Early Learning Program.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide administrative support to the Program Director
  2. Serve as the Director’s Designee in the absence of the Program Director.
  3. Act as a liaison between the program director and staff/parents.
  4. Responsible for reception and clerical duties, communications, translations (oral and written), and recordkeeping.
  5. Maintain inventory and submit orders for school and office supplies.
  6. Receive payments for the wrap-around care program.
  7. Create and maintain class rosters for Program Director and teaching staff.
  8. Prepare monthly school attendance sheet and the CACFP meal count form.
  9. Monitor daily attendance in Infinite Campus and report status to supervisor.
  10. Assist with implementation of the Emergency Operations Plan.
  11. Work cooperatively as a team member within the entire school community.
  12. Report any suspected case of child abuse to the appropriate authorities as required by Catholic Charities, the Office of Licensing, and the Board of Education.
  13. Responsible to report in writing any accident or unusual occurrence to the Program Director before the end of your scheduled workday.
  14. Attend scheduled workshops/trainings, including DCF OOL Understanding Licensing training, and pursue professional development hours in accordance with program requirements.
  15. Attend scheduled staff meetings.
  16. Adhere to CFCS agency & program specific policies and procedures.
  17. Carry out additional tasks as requested by the Program Director.
  18. Responsible for other duties that may be assigned from time to time to support the effective and efficient operation of Catholic Charities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum of a High School Diploma, Associate Degree preferred.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office; computer skills.
  3. Effective oral and written English skills.
  4. Bilingual Spanish, Arabic or Bengali oral and written skills a plus.
  5. Must possess effective comprehension and reasoning skills.
