Compliance Reviewer (Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30pm)

Headquartered in Paterson, NJ, Straight and Narrow is the largest program of its kind. We provide innovative and compassionate services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. We are looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate people to work in our Residential/Outpatient Treatment Facilities and Community Programs.

Compliance Reviewer

Location: Paterson, NJ

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Regular Salary: $20.00-23.00/Hr.

Job Summary:

  • Promote regulatory compliance and continual survey readiness of clinical charts and related documentation.
  • Review and audit behavioral health client records
  • Implement and manage an effective compliance monitoring program.
  • Advise management on the company’s compliance with chart audits through detailed reports.
  • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
  • Oversee the dissemination and collection of open chart deficiencies and closed chart audits, and requests from regulatory agencies and payors for audit review.
  • Additional duties as needed.
  • Must have good organizational, interpersonal and supervisory skills including the ability to direct others appropriately and to prioritize, organize and delegate tasks.
  • Must possess excellent writing skills and good working knowledge of computers.
  • Must have knowledge of the NJ Residential and Outpatient standards for SUD as well as CARF knowledge and experience

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree; proficiency in English Language; computer literate, highly organized with good knowledge of behavioral and mental health procedures. Highly analytical with strong attention to detail ability to interact appropriately with clients, staff and outside persons and hold confidential all client and agency/department information obtained as a result of performing job responsibilities.
