As a HR Generalist you will be responsible for:
• Basically you’re performing HR-related duties on a professional level as you work closely with senior HR management in supporting Catholic Charities. This position is tasked with some or all of the following functional areas: onboarding, recruitment, training, compliance, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, payroll/benefits administration, and employment law compliance. Administrative tasks; meeting minutes, record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. We juggle a lot, so our team must remain extremely organized while demonstrating the skills of an insightful person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. All employees must be sensitive to the mission of the organization, employee goodwill and the needs of the agency.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in HR or a related field and 3 years of HR generalist experience, or a master's degree in HR management and one year of experience in human resource generalist role. SHRM-CP certification can be submitted for 1 year of experience. Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations.
Compliance
Assist in policy development and communication
Collaborates with the HR team in the education and training of managers/supervisors on regulatory and compliance issues
Assist with the compliance training records and reporting
Help Identify and track laws and regulations that might affect the organization’s policies, practices, and procedures.
· Compiles all compliance and mandates reporting requirement including those related to EEO, ADA, ERISA, and the Department of Labor.
· Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees in an effort to manage risk and regulatory compliance.
· Ensures that the US labor law posters are updated as necessary and as required.
· Ensures mandatory trainings are updated and completed for new hires and existing employees.
· Leads all internal audits related to I-9 and other compliance related audits.
· Ensures all personnel records are maintained as per requirements.
