Senior Clinical Director Detox/HWH and Men's Residential

Headquartered in Paterson, NJ, Straight and Narrow is the largest program of its kind. We provide innovative and compassionate services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. We are looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate people to work in our Residential/Outpatient Treatment Facilities and Community Programs.

Senior Clinical Director of the Men's Residential, HWH and Detox

Location: All Straight and Narrow Programs

(You may be deployed to any Straight and Narrow program location based on agency needs.)

General Summary:

Ensure all of the Detox/HWH and Men's Residential Programs that Straight & Narrow provides its clients is consistent with Straight & Narrow’s Philosophy of Treatment; and that Straight & Narrow’s Continuous Quality Improvement program operates effectively for the benefit of the organization, its employees and clients. While serving as the Senior Clinical Director will maintain the responsibility for the overall functioning of the Programs; long-term planning for the Detox/HWH and Men's Residential; and ensuring the provision of quality treatment and care for residential and outpatient clients in accordance with the requirements of all accrediting, regulating and licensing bodies, catholic Charities Straight & Narrow’s mission, vision, values and philosophy of treatment. This position requires on call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  1. Be a New Jersey licensed psychologist with at least five years of experience in addiction services, two of those years in a supervisory capacity, who possesses a Certification of Proficiency in the Treatment of Alcohol and other Psychoactive Substance Use Disorders from the American Psychological Association, College of Professional Psychology, or is a Certified Clinical Supervisor by the Addictions Professionals Certification Board of New Jersey (APCBNJ)
  2. Be a New Jersey licensed clinical social worker with at least five years of experience in addiction services, two of those years in a supervisory capacity, who is a certified clinical supervisor by the APCBNJ
  3. Be a New Jersey licensed professional counselor, or licensed marriage and family therapist, with at least five years of experience in addiction services, two of those years in a supervisory capacity, who is a certified clinical supervisor by the APCBNJ.
  4. Be a New Jersey LCADC with at least five years of experience in addiction services, two of those years in a supervisory capacity, who, in addition, holds a clinical master's degree recognized by the State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners, Alcohol and Drug Committee, Division of Consumer Affairs, New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety;
  5. Be a New Jersey licensed physician who is certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine, or is a Board-certified psychiatrist, and has at least two years of supervisory experience in addiction services.
  6. Be a New Jersey licensed advanced practice nurse with at least five years of experience in addiction services, two of those years in a supervisory capacity, who is a clinical supervisor certified by the APCBNJ, or
  7. Have a doctoral degree in human services, mental health or social work with at least two years of supervisory experience.
    1. Incumbents with a master's degree in counseling or social work not possessing any of the qualifications set forth in (a)1 through 6 above, shall obtain LCADC status or another health professional license that includes diagnostic and supervisory authority for work of an alcohol and drug counseling nature by July 15, 2016.
